Terry's Pizzeria & Grill is family owned and produces excellent pizza along with bountiful choices of char-broiled burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, appetizers, wings, and other goodies. There is a salad bar that is always fresh with plenty of salad and fruit choices. The pizzas range in size from the Mini to the huge Supreme and offer many choices of toppings and sauces to create your own. They also have signature pizzas like the Mexican with peppers, Mama Yo's with chicken, artichoke hearts, and veggies, or the Meat Lovers with all meat toppings. Buckeye Restaurant is a local favorite for a good steak dinner in a dining room with a beautiful view of the surrounding forest. Patty and Randy are the friendly owners. This place boasts a classic mountain decor with rustic wood and trophy stuffed animals along the dining room walls. The bar is popular with locals and Patty whips up great classic margaritas and martinis along with a good wine and beer selection. Prime rib is available on weekend evenings. The menu also includes chicken and seafood items. My favorite is the grilled lamb chops which are often a special. All the meals include both soup and salad. Patty makes the soups and they are all dairy free and really tasty. Click here for Facebook page. Located at 7460 Wentworth Springs Rd. about 3 miles above Georgetown. Closed Tuesdays. Open for dinner only at 4pm. (530-333-2600)

Corner Kitchen is a Georgetown tradition and is located in the historic Ditch Co. building dating back to 1870. Originally built in 1853, the building burned down twice and was used for a number of other things until it became a restaurant in the early 1950's. You can still hear stories of how logging trucks used to line Main St. early in the morning so the drivers could have breakfast here. This is the real-deal of small town living complete with a counter right in front of the grill where customers can sit on stools and chat. The place got a little sprucing up in 2015 with a new coat of paint and a few changes, but it still retains every bit of the old charm the locals love. All your breakfast and lunch favorites are prepared as you watch and served by a smiling staff while you listen to the locals swapping stories. By the way, they now serve great home made pies. Located at 6265 Main St. in Georgetown. Open week days for breakfast and lunch from 6am to 2pm. (530-333-1630)
The Divide Restaurant is a unique family owned creation that meets the local demand for a more upscale place to have breakfast and lunch . The location has housed several restaurants over the years, but has been remodeled to reflect the history and look of the gold mining heritage of Georgetown. The wood used in the interior came from trees that were harvested after the huge King Fire of 2014. The entire experience has a quality of being in a gold mine. Wonderful! The food and service are totally professional. The menu contains many delicious creations for breakfast like various Benedicts including the Classic Eggs Benedict, or an Italian Benedict with mushroom risotto and prosciutto, a Benedict with smoked salmon or a Country Benedict. Breakfast also includes items like Bananas Foster French Toast or a Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo. Lunch includes a solid burger line-up with selections like the Big Sluice with ham, bacon, Swiss and an egg or the Motherlode with mac & cheese, cheddar, and crisp bacon. How about a Grown Up Grilled Cheese with goat cheese, gouda, and cheddar along with avocado? The The Bad Ass BLT includes Pesto aioli & parm crusted sour dough, bacon, prosciutto, tomato, avocado, arugula & garlic aioli. They also have Hot Pastrami and a Polish Ruben that is a big cut above. Located at 6037 Front St. in the Buffalo Hill Center in Georgetown. Tel. 333-4840. Open Wed thru Sun 7am to 3pm. Click here for the Facebook page.
The Georgetown Hotel reopened in 2016 under new ownership after extensive remodeling and renovation. It has once again assumed it's key role as the centerpiece for Georgetown's historic downtown area. The new owners, realizing the importance of the old hotel to the community, have been careful to preserve the look and flavor of the building as the made necessary repairs and improvements to bring the Grande Dame back to her former glory. Georgetown citizens have been quick to embrace the changes! The hotel features the grand old bar that has been a favorite watering hole since the Gold Rush Days. Locals, groups passing through, and many other visitors flock to this place because of the history and memories of good times. The restaurant has reopened with a whole new menu that includes items like the incredible pile of the Not-Cho Natchos, good burgers, the Italian sausage Italian Job on a roll or the delicious Chicken Christopher grilled chicken on a bun (My favorite). They also have delicious salads. In addition, the upstairs rooms are again available for the weary traveler. Located at 6269 Main St. in Georgetown. Tel. 530-333-4428. Oasis Cantina Mexican Food is Georgetown's Mexican food restaurant and is located in the historic Jerrett building on Main St. The Oasis has all the tradition Mexican dishes and combos like enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, tamales, beans, rice, etc. It also sports a popular full bar with some beers on tap. The building was built many years ago, but the interior has been decorated in beautiful oak and the dining area is separated from the bar so kids are welcome. Open 11 to 9 every day except Monday. Located at 6297 Main St. in Georgetown. Telephone 530-333-9301.
Royal Dragon Chinese Restaurant has been a staple of Georgetown for so long that most of the residents know it simply as "The Chinese Place." The dining room is always populated with the local customers who go there because they always find someone they know, the food is good, and it is served with a smile. The menu line-up is large and includes all the Chinese favorites you would expect to find. The take-out portions are always plentiful. Some of my favorites are Hot & Sour Soup, Happy Family, Shrimp & Vegetables, Peking Pork, House Chow Mein, and General Chicken. They have a buffet as well and it is always stocked with fresh food, enough variety, and they put out limited amounts to keep it fresh. Located at 6326 Highway 193 in Georgetown. (530-333-2868)
Worton Market is a great little store right on Main St. in Georgetown that is the perfect place to stock up for your picnic or just get a cup of coffee. Worton's has a deli counter where they stock side dishes like macaroni and potato salad, as well as a range of made-to-order sandwiches. You can actually stop in and put together a quick picnic lunch to go or get your food for a camping trip, including ice, beer, and many market items. In addition, they have an espresso machine and can make many outstanding coffee drinks. They have a quiet little dining area in the rear of the store and some seating out front. They even have fishing and camping gear. Located at 6274 Main St. in Georgetown. Open 7 days. Tel. 530-333-1489.
