Art on the Divide Gallery is located in an historic building in Georgetown and is a cooperative effort among local artists who share in staffing the show room. The gallery displays the work of up to nineteen member artists in the beautiful old brick building. The gallery is a maze of passageways and rooms to view the work up close and there is a rose garden out back that is used for workshops and social functions. The gallery usually has a Sunday afternoon reception to meet the featured artist of the month. They also have numerous workshops and events. The gallery has many different styles and media including photography, painting, ceramics, greeting cards, pastels, sculpture, gourds, and glass that will fit any budget. Cool Pottery is the creation of Vicki Calhoon who is a local potter of considerable skill and creativity. Olde Coloma Theater is an historic small theater located near the Gold Discovery Park in Coloma. The Coloma Crescent Players perform old time melodramas complete with classic villains, heroes, and heroines. The plays are written, staged, and performed by local talent. The productions present a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy live theater in a log cabin style building that was originally constructed for the 1939 San Francisco World Exposition.
