Cascada is an upscale dining experience that offers a selection of Mexican standards along with an array of excellent Latin style dishes with a California twist. The restaurant features a popular cocktail lounge. A number of outstanding salads are available that include seafood, chicken, or grilled steak. The entrée’s extend from the Prime Rib Burger with the works to the Costillas de Borego rosemary rack of lamb dinner. Henry's Steakhouse is a fine dining establishment located in the Redhawk Casino just off highway 50. They serve dry aged beef and a variety of other wonderfully prepared menu items including seafood, lamb, veal, chicken, and a dry aged double cut pork chop. Starters include items like oysters, calamari, scallops, steak tartare, and an excellent pate' and terrine plate. Even the bread basket has a delicious assortment of crackers and bread items. I highly recommend Henry's Wedge Salad with smoked bacon and a slightly spicy dressing that is absolutely wonderful. For a light dessert, try the Truffle Trio of flavored ganache candy. The Levee provides a welcome addition of New Orleans style Cajun food to Historic Main St. in Placerville. The proud owners, Sonya and Robert Huff are usually on site and chatting with the customers making this cozy eatery a very special place for a family outing or romantic dinner. The restaurant is hidden down a street mall path and sits atop the creek that winds through downtown. The interior is decorated with a festive New Orleans theme and sports a small bar where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or beer brought in from New Orleans (the amber on tap is excellent!). The menu includes Cajun favorites like Blackened Catfish, Seafood Stuffed Salmon, Red Beans & Rice, and Jambalaya, all from Sonya's own recipes and masterfully prepared and presented. None are too spicy, but you can "Kick It Up" upon request. There are also salads, vegetarian and steak entrees. Try the Boudin Bites for an appetizer! Service is friendly and personal and all dishes are prepared to order, so plan on kicking back and enjoying a very nice dining experience. Located at 451 Main St. Suite 8 in Placerville. Tel.
